Use a Desktop or Laptop: All role-plays must be conducted using a desktop or laptop computer. Mobile devices are not supported and may affect your performance.
Stable Internet Connection: Ensure you have a reliable internet connection. Test your setup before your scheduled role-play time. NOTE: If you experience Internet issues you will not be able to retry your competition time slot. If you feel your home connection may be suspect, please join the competition via an on-campus connection.
Audio & Video: Use a working webcam and microphone. Position your camera at eye level in a well-lit space for a professional appearance.
Quiet Environment: Choose a distraction-free environment where you can focus and be clearly heard.
Join the Stream Early: Log into the stream or competition platform 10 minutes before your scheduled time. This ensures time for check-in, tech troubleshooting, and readiness.
Stay on Schedule: Be prompt and respectful of time limits during your role-play.
Language & Behavior: Inappropriate language or conduct will not be tolerated during the competition or in chat features. This includes slang, offensive comments, or unprofessional jokes.
Dress Code: Business professional attire is encouraged to reflect a real-world selling environment.
Respect for All: Treat judges, role-play partners, and fellow competitors with professionalism and courtesy at all times.
Prepare Your Pitch: Know your product, prospect, and value proposition. Practice active listening and effective questioning.
